Job summary

Major Tool & Machine (MTM) in Indianapolis, Indiana, is hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer who will serve as the focal point between MTM and suppliers, overseeing supplier development, audits, and performance improvements.

The role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and requires a bachelor's in engineering with 10+ years of experience in supplier quality, AS9100/ISO9001 knowledge, and strong problem-solving and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 10 years of experience in supplier quality.
• Extensive knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, track and report supplier performance internally and to suppliers.
• Define and react to problems concerning supplier quality and delivery.
• Lead RC/CA activities with suppliers.
• Lead continuous improvement activities with suppliers.
• Travel to suppliers for new product introductions, audits, or first article inspection (50%).
