Job summary

Pro QC International is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to assess supplier capabilities, evaluate manufacturing processes, and drive improvements that strengthen quality and production readiness. You will work with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to identify risks, investigate root causes, and communicate clear, actionable findings.

This is a part-time 1099 contract role with travel around Fort Wayne, IN and nearby areas; a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in quality engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of quality engineering or supplier quality experience.
• Familiarity with production tooling and injection molding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier capacity audits and production capacity assessments.
• Audit manufacturing processes including metal injection molding.
• Evaluate production tooling and injection molding equipment.
• Review quality systems, technical documentation and inspection methods.
• Perform root-cause analysis and track corrective actions.
• Support supplier quality management and continuous process improvement.
• Prepare clear reports and communicate findings.
