Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in Tulsa, OK, to lead material selection, vendor sourcing, and quality assurance across multiple manufacturing partners. You will visit supplier facilities, audit procedures, and drive continuous improvement to reduce defects.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or sciences (or 3–5 years in the field) with strong statistical skills and ISO 9001 experience. On-site work, occasional overtime, and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or logistics preferred, or 3-5 years of experience.
• Experience in manufacturing and in securing vendor contracts.
• Strong statistical analysis and quality assurance skills; knowledge of manufacturing and engineering principles.
• Experience in an ISO 9001 environment required.

Responsibilities

• Review manufacturing specifications to identify materials needed for production.
• Research, source, and assess vendors to supply the necessary materials.
• Visit vendor facilities and observe manufacturing procedures for compliance.
• Perform regular quality control audits to ensure vendors meet standards.
• Review incoming supplies from vendors for defects and quality.
• Conduct tests and assessments to identify quality issues.
• Maintain detailed supplier quality reports, including defect rates.
• Provide technical guidance to suppliers to reduce defects.
• Serve as liaison between senior management and vendors to resolve issues.
• Use precision and non-precision inspection/test equipment.
• Attend on-site, punctual, and able to work overtime.
• Collaborate with others and interact respectfully with stakeholders.
• Multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing our manufacturing specifications to identify materials needed for production.
• Researching, sourcing, and assessing the best vendors to supply the necessary materials.
• Visiting vendor facilities and observing the manufacturing environment to review and assess their procedures.
• Performing regular quality control audits to ensure vendors continue to work in compliance with company and federal standards.
• Reviewing incoming supplies and products from vendors to check for defects and ensure quality.
• Conducting tests and assessments on products to identify quality issues.
• Maintaining detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas that result in flaws.
• Providing technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates.
• Serving as a liaison between our company\'s senior management and the vendors to identify quality issues and come up with solutions.
• Must be able to use a variety of precision and non-precision inspection and test equipment.
• Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor\'s degree in engineering, science, or logistics preferred, or 3-5 years of experience in the field.
• Proven experience in manufacturing and in securing vendor contracts.
• Excellent statistical analysis and quality assurance skills. In-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of manufacturing and engineering.
• Good working knowledge of quality control standards and government compliance.
• Experience with manufacturing and production processes and engineering principles.
• Ability to provide guidance to improve process efficiency.
• Experience in an ISO 9001 environment required.
