Job summary

Jobot in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Quality leader to shape the QMS and drive quality excellence across the organization. You will lead audits, CAPA, metrics, and supplier performance while partnering with engineering and operations to reduce defects and improve yield.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a technical field and 3+ years in quality engineering, with ISO 9001/AS9100 knowledge and strong communication skills. Competitive package included.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 and audit processes.
• Experience leading root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, maintain, and improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Manage internal and external audits and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable quality standards.
• Develop quality objectives, KPIs, and reporting metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes and root cause investigations.
• Analyze quality data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to reduce defects, improve yield, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Lead customer quality communications and support resolution of quality concerns.
• Manage supplier quality performance and collaborate on supplier improvement initiatives.
• Develop and mentor quality personnel while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Ensure documentation, procedures, and records are maintained in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally with machined parts.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 and audit processes.
• Experience leading root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of regulated or highly demanding manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ certifications such as CQE, CQM/OE, or related credentials.
• Experience with customer-facing quality activities.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training or certification.
