Job summary

Benchmark Electronics is seeking a Quality Control professional to perform, monitor, and evaluate QA at suppliers and Benchmark facilities. The role supports NPI, prototype and production activities to ensure components meet required standards.

Responsibilities include developing QA instructions, conducting supplier audits, and communicating corrective actions. Travel up to 10% may be required, with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 4 year Engineering or Technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of electronics manufacturing experience.
• ASQ certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Perform Quality Control functions at supplier's facilities, such as source inspection and test of supplier's products as specified by Subcontract, Purchase Order and/or associated documentation.
• Develop and control test and inspection instructions to be utilized by Supplier QA functions to assure compliance with Benchmark and Contract Quality requirements.
• Provide technical assistance to Incoming Inspection, suppliers and other Benchmark functions to prevent fabrication, test and inspection problems.
• Prepare reports on procured product quality and corrective actions taken and reply to Customer/Government inquiries regarding supplier Quality Assurance.
• Disposition suspect/nonconforming material and provide First Article Inspection work direction.
