Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc is seeking a Quality Engineer to perform quality control at supplier facilities and Benchmark sites. You will develop inspection instructions, provide technical QA support, and manage corrective actions for non-conformances.

The role requires a 4-year engineering or technical degree, 5+ years in electronics manufacturing, and some travel up to 10%. You will contribute to continuous improvement and ensure supplier quality aligns with Benchmark standards.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering or technical degree is preferred or equivalent.
• 5+ years of electronics manufacturing experience.
• ASQ certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control at supplier facilities and at Benchmark as required.
• Develop and control test and inspection instructions for supplier QA functions.
• Provide technical assistance to incoming inspection, suppliers and Benchmark functions.
• Prepare reports and initiate corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Oversee sample, special and qualification tests and participate in failure analysis.
• Support a continuous improvement culture and document actions/results.
