Job summary

Parker Aerospace is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer to monitor supplier performance against contracts and scorecards, driving continuous improvements with Supplier Quality. The role reports to the Division Supplier Development Manager and supports the strategic sourcing team.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in engineering or materials management and 3+ years in a manufacturing environment, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree (required), preferably in engineering or materials management.
• 3+ years’ experience in an engineering or continuous improvement role in a manufacturing environment.
• Analytical and technical skills to understand business practices; strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and able to pick up systems quickly.
• Must be an innovator and embrace lean enterprise principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite supplier audits to evaluate supplier health and business risk. Estimated travel about 25% of the time.
• Conduct evaluation of supplier’s process capability, capacity, delivery performance, output, and reporting of supplier performance.
• Support strategic sourcing with execution of work transfers including supplier evaluation/selection, review and completion of work transfer stage gates.
