The National Park Service is seeking a Supervisory Recreation Fee Technician (Seasonal) to collect and account for fees at park entrances, while serving as a front-line representative to visitors and providing guidance and information.
The role involves directing subordinate staff performing fee collection duties, operating and troubleshooting equipment such as POS systems or card readers, and ensuring accurate fee accounting, pass issuance, and high-quality guest service.
Collect and account for fees at various locations interacting with visitors and sharing information. Serve as front-line representative to answer questions and offer guidance to guests. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for these positions are variable due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: April - May 2027. Open to the first 100 applicants.
Some of the Supervisory Recreation Fee Technician Standard Duties include but are not limited to: Responsible for directing and supervising activities of subordinate staff executing fee collection duties. Fee collection duties may include: operating and troubleshooting equipment (e.g., point of sale systems, electronic cash register, credit card machine, and/or computer), collecting and accounting for fees, disseminating park/area information and literature.
Serve as uniformed front-line representative of the park. Model best practices in performance of fee collection duties which include: collecting appropriate fees at entrance stations in accordance with accountability guidelines, issuance of various park passes in accordance with current interagency pass policy, tracking and securing accountable stock, and providing excellent customer service to the visiting public.
There is no substitution of education for experience at the grade level(s) of this announcement.

The posted pay range is $26.78 – $34.81/hr.
