Job summary

National Park Service is seeking a Supervisory Recreation Fee Technician to lead a team of fee technicians and clerks. You will supervise daily operations at the entrance, ensure accurate fee collection, and deliver excellent visitor service.

This role requires handling cash, operating POS systems, and generating reports. Candidates must pass background checks and a probationary period may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
• Background investigation and favorable adjudication required.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Direct Deposit participation required.
• Successful pass of E-Verify employment verification.
• Valid state driver's license required within 30 days.
• Uniform required; uniform allowance provided.
• Travel up to 4-5 nights annually for training.
• Complete training and obtain government travel/ purchase card.
• Probationary period may be required to evaluate fitness.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of permanent and seasonal recreation fee staff and support personnel.
• Collect entrance fees at the park entrance per accountability guidelines.
• Maintain accountable stock and serve as a front-line uniformed representative.
• Provide accurate information and excellent customer service to visitors.
• Operate point-of-sale systems and track payments; prepare remittance and shift reports.
