The Resource Management and Planning (RMP) Staff, under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for planning and executing the U.S. Attorneys annual budget and managing reimbursable income and revenue. We also audit financial transactions in EOUSA and the USAOs, provide travel and conference planning services, and manage several financial systems that serve the USAOs, EOUSA, and Department of Justice.
To be qualified for this position, applicants must meet ONE of the following basic requirements.
Must possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law. (The term "accounting" means "accounting and/or auditing" in this standard. Similarly, "accountant" should be interpreted, generally, as "accountant and/or auditor.")
at least 4 years of experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge. The applicant's background must also include one of the following:

In addition to meeting basic requirements as described above, applicants must also meet the specialized experience as defined below. GS-14: To be eligible at the GS-14 level, you must have one full year of specialized experience at the GS-13 level in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience is defined as: serving as a technical expert performing or advising on a wide variety of audit functions; conducting financial and performance audits; developing, analyzing and executing audit policies, programs, and procedures; interviewing personnel to gather audit information; and evaluating internal controls to determine reliability of reported results.
