Job summary

Coca-Cola UNITED in Lake Charles seeks a Supervisor- Warehouse Distribution to lead the shift in shipping, loading, receiving, storage, inventory accuracy, productivity, quality, and safety.

You will interview, hire, train, plan and direct work, coordinate shipments with transportation, manage inventory, and ensure OSHA training compliance. Strong leadership and reliability are required, with weekend/holiday flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age 18 and 21 depending on role and CDL requirements.
  • Valid driver's license and compliance with fleet policy.
  • Class A CDL required and compliant with fleet policy.
  • PPE as required by position and safety policies.
  • Read, write and speak English proficiently.
  • Neat professional appearance and safety compliance.
  • Ability to work weekends/holidays or flexible schedule.
  • Willingness to obtain forklift, pallet jack, and motorized vehicle certifications.
  • Associate degree or 2-year college/tech training or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead shift in shipping, loading, receiving, warehouse storage, inventory accuracy, productivity, quality and safety.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Approve time and manage vacation and leave requests.
  • Train employees on OSHA monthly trainings.
  • Performs duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

The Supervisor- Warehouse Distribution is responsible for leading the shift in areas of shipping, loading, receiving, warehouse storage, product rotation, inventory accuracy, productivity, quality, and safety.

What your day will look like:
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
  • Interview, hire, and train associates
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Address complaints and resolve problems
  • Coordinates all shipping/receiving along with transportation
  • Oversees all inventory control and product rotation
  • Manage Shipping/Receiving Department, Inventory, Repack, Gate, or Night Loading
  • Maintains responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the units listed above
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
  • Accurately approve and maintain employee time approval
  • Manage employee scheduling such as vacation, sick, and requested time off
  • Train employees on OSHA monthly trainings
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
What you need to succeed:
  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Minimum age 21 years old
  • Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Class A commercial driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 12 months to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to become certified in forklift, riding pallet jack, and motorized vehicles
  • Frequent standing and walking
  • Ability to work in a team environment, resolve conflicts, possess effective communication skills, i.e. verbal, reading and writing, as well as calculate figures and percentages.
  • Ability to work safely and securely
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, planning, and organizational skills
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc
