Job summary

Coca-Cola UNITED is seeking a Manager Warehouse and Logistics to oversee all activities of Warehouse Distribution Operations supporting the Distribution Sales Center. You will supervise, hire, train, and direct a team while coordinating warehousing, loading, shipping, inventory control, and safety compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, English proficiency, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with willingness to work weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university; or 3 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; maintain professional appearance within guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse distribution operations and direct workplans.
• Interview, hire, and train associates for distribution roles.
• Coordinate all warehouse distribution, loading, shipping and inventory control activities.
• Ensure DOT regulations, OSHA trainings, and safety policies are followed.
• Analyze KPIs and drive efficiency and cost reductions in distribution.
• Manage budget preparation and provide guidance to subordinate managers.

Job Description

The Manager Warehouse and Logistics is responsible for coordinating all activities of Warehouse Distribution Operations necessary to support the Distribution Sales Center.

What your day will look like:

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
• Interview, hire, and train associates
• Plan, assign, and direct work
• Address complaints and resolve problems
• Coordinates all warehouse distribution, loading, shipping functions, inventory control, finance, facility management, safety, and partnership with manufacturing, quality assurance, transportation, fleet, demand planning, and innovation, and sales teams
• Managing internal and external logistics operations for transportation demands
• Reviews processes and metrics to improve warehouse operations efficiencies and reduce cost
• Manages and maintains responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of subordinate managers and supervisors who manage associates
• Analyzes key performance indicators and develops new ones for the manufacturing and distribution operations to improve efficiencies
• Ensure team follows DOT regulations and policies
• Responsible for establishing long-term and short-term goals and assists in the preparation process for Capex and operation budgets
• Train associates on OSHA, environmental monthly trainings and ensure regulations are being met
• Maintains an open-door policy and spends time talking with associates at their job on a regular basis
• Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

What you need to succeed:

• Minimum age 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
• Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
• Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
• Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
• Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university; or 3 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to show business acumen and customer service skills
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required

Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
