Job summary

Coca-Cola UNITED is hiring a Supervisor – Maintenance in Louisiana to lead maintenance mechanics, drive preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure equipment reliability. You will train staff, plan workloads, and enforce safety and parts procedures to keep production aligned with quality standards.

The role requires leadership, English proficiency, and a solid foundation in maintenance systems (CMMS/PLMS). Weekend and shift flexibility may be required in a fast-paced beverage environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or 6 months to 1 year related experience or training.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills; able to coach and manage multiple associates.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English; maintain professional appearance and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct maintenance mechanics performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Train team members on technical processes to perform timely repairs and PMs.
  • Ensure equipment operates up to original performance and quality specs.
  • Interview, hire, and train associates; plan and direct work.
  • Enforce safety policies and parts room procedures; manage maintenance systems.
  • Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance schedules; optimize staffing.
  • Direct mechanics in performing proper repairs; monitor CMMS/PLMS usage.
  • Support food safety in all maintenance activities; uphold company policies.

Job Description

The Supervisor – Maintenance is responsible for leading and directing the maintenance mechanics performing preventative/corrective maintenance procedures to ensure equipment reliability. Train team members on technical processes in order to perform timely repairs and high quality Preventive Maintenance (P.M’s). Ensure that the equipment operates up to its original performance and quality specifications.

What your day will look like:
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
  • Interview, hire, and train associates
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Address complaints and resolve problems
  • Develop and implement scheduled Preventive Maintenance (P.M’s)
  • Develop work schedules of the mechanics
  • Direct mechanics in performing proper and correct repairs
  • Enforce parts room procedures to help ensure that proper parts are available when needed
  • Enforce all safety policies of the Department
  • Promote Food Safety in all areas of Maintenance
  • Directly supervises Maintenance employees
  • Effective use of all maintenance operating systems up to and including Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Production Line Monitoring System (PLMS)
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
What you need to succeed:
  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 6 months to 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
  • Proficient knowledge in the operation of continuous motion packaging, filling, and palletizing equipment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to effectively adapt to change
Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
