Job summary

Children's Wisconsin, a nationally recognized pediatric health system, seeks an Urgent Care Supervisor to oversee staffing, scheduling, and quality across all locations. You will coach staff, manage performance, and collaborate with the Medical Director to ensure timely, high‑quality patient care.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Nursing, Wisconsin RN license, BLS, and 12 months of supervisory experience with pediatric knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Minimum 12 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Wisconsin RN license required.
• Ability to work flexible hours (evenings and weekends).
• Pediatric growth and development knowledge; pediatric nursing experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills to prioritize work and improve accuracy.
• Understanding of CHW healthcare delivery system.
• Represent the organization professionally.
• Ability to stand/walk for 80% of the shift.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all Children's Urgent Care staff across locations daily.
• Manage staffing plans, schedules, and quality assurance.
• Coordinate with managers to meet goals set by CUC Manager and Medical Director.
• Provide coaching and development for staff.

Job Summary

Works collaboratively with the other Children's Urgent Care (CUC) Supervisor to supervise all Children's Urgent Care staff in the day-to-day operations of all Children's Urgent Care locations to ensure patients receive quality services in a timely manner. Has responsibility for CUC Staffing plans, Schedules, Quality Assurance, PPL, Attendance, Coaching and Development of staff. Work collaboratively with staff, peers, and department managers to achieve goals set forth by CUC Manager and Medical Director.

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing required.
• Minimum12 months of supervisory experience preferred, prior experience in a leadership role preferred.
• A license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin.
• Ability to work flexible hours (evenings and weekends) to meet patient care needs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of pediatric growth and development and child/family responses to fear, illness, injury and hospitalization. Specific skills, experience or accreditation in pediatric clinics preferred. This knowledge is usually acquired through a minimum of three years experience in pediatric nursing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively deal with intra and interdepartmental problems and communicate with other staff, physicians, health team members, visitors and consumers.
• Requires good analytical skills necessary to prioritize work, problem solve and develop systems to improve accuracy and efficiency, assess complex patient conditions effectively and to develop comprehensive plans of care.
• An understanding of CHW health care delivery system and the impact of other health care delivery systems on the patient and family.
• The ability to represent the organization and serve consumers in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the organization and its services.
• Must be able to walk, stand for long periods, over 80 percent, of the assigned work period.
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required
• License RN-Registered Nurse (30) - State of Wisconsin required
• Provides care appropriate to patient population and as described in applicable policies and procedures.
