Children’s Wisconsin in Milwaukee is seeking an Urgent Care registration specialist to welcome patient families, perform accurate registrations, and act as a liaison between families and the clinical team to ensure a safe, organized patient flow.
You will follow Front Desk Service Standards, communicate wait times, provide clerical support, and help keep the clinic running smoothly. Travel to all Urgent Care locations may be required, and the role demands strong interpersonal skills.

This role is an active member of the Urgent Care team who is responsible to welcome patient families for their visit, complete accurate registration and act as a liaison between patient families and the clinical team to promote a safe and organized environment for the delivery of services to children and their families within the urgent care setting. This position reports to the Urgent Care Supervisor.
High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED)
1+ years registration or scheduling experience in a healthcare setting or related experience
Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills necessary to work independently in a fast paced multi-functioned department Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to assist patients, parents, and physicians and other staff. Required flexibility in order to prioritize efforts to meet needs of the patients, parents, physicians and other staff. Proficient in a Windows environment. Requires the ability to sit for extended period of time while performing duties. May be required to lift up to 25 pounds. Will require travel to all Urgent Care locations. During periods of high volume, additional shifts may be required.
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required Patient Care Responsibility Provides care appropriate to patient population and as described in applicable policies and procedures.
