Supervisor – Supply Chain – Evenings and Weekends

This leader will drive operational excellence by utilizing warehouse, logistics, and inventory expertise to ensure exceptional patient care and an enhanced clinician experience.

This leader will supervise the daily activities of the supply chain evening and overnight shift staff at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell to ensure a customer-centric alignment of supply chain operations with the entire organization. This leader will directly engage with clinical and non-clinical hospital leaders to ensure the appropriate supplies are readily available for patient care. Additionally, given certain unique patient care needs, cross-campus leadership communication for supply needs may be required.

Furthermore, your team serves as the customer service face of the supply chain, and this leadership role allows for direct interaction and visibility with clinical staff in inpatient units and outpatient areas. Additionally, you will work with your team to ensure regulatory compliance, monitor the status of daily operations, communicate changes to department leaders, evaluate employees, promote safety, and deliver leadership that inspires performance at the highest level.

This position will work from Wednesday to Sunday from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM.

Preferred Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of inventory control systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

Required Criteria:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of medical/surgical supplies (including endoscopy, radiology, and other procedural area supplies)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
