Job summary

Commercial Metals seeks an experienced Mill Operations Associate to oversee scrap yard operations and inventory reporting. You will communicate production needs with teams, manage rail cars, and ensure scrap quality meets standards.

• Minimum 5 years of Mill Experience.
• Data entry in SAP /QMOS.
• Strong computer skills required (Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Work which may include weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work with a budget for lowering cost (SAP).
• Ability to work in extreme heat.

Responsibilities

• Industry/Scrap knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge in Excel, Scrap Dragon, and SAP preferred.
• Communicate with fellow workers and supervisors about possible production issues, concerns, and needs.
• Oversee Mill Services yard operations.
• Provide a daily/weekly scrap inventory report to Melt Shop Management.
• Rail car management and rail track repairs.
• Maintain appropriate scrap inventory by commodities.
• Ensure incoming scrap meets or exceeds quality expectations.
