Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Massachusetts seeks a hands-on Assembly Supervisor to lead the production floor, drive daily targets, and ensure safety and quality across multiple workstations.

You will collaborate with Engineering to optimize processes, maintain records, and report metrics while building high-performing teams through coaching, data-driven decisions, and lean improvements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in Glass diode assembly supervisory or group leader role.
  • Hands-on experience with assembly operations and production systems (ERP or AX).
  • Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and team management abilities.
  • Data-driven decision-maker with lean/process-improvement experience.
  • Inspiring coach and communicator—able to build and lead high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage assembly teams on the production floor, ensuring daily production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards and safety compliance.

  • Translate daily production schedules into clear priorities and staffing assignments.
  • Partner with Engineering on process enhancements, equipment repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records (training logs, payroll, performance notes) and report key metrics.

Job Description:

Microchip company, Discrete and Integrated Solutions Group (DISG) offers one of the industry's most comprehensive power and RF/microwave discrete semiconductor product portfolios. The DISG encompasses two business units, the Power Discrete & Modules BU and the RF/Microwave Discreet BU. Markets the PDM & RF/MW discrete BU's address include: alternative energy, industrial, medical, defense, commercial aviation, communications, embedded systems, motor control, power solutions, sensors and security. Microchip is planning to fill the following position with a talented, creative and motivated individual.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $46,000-$128,000.* *Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
