Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician for the Cesium Beam Tube (CBT) department. The role involves hand building sub-assemblies in a cleanroom environment, with on-the-job training provided to ensure you gain the necessary skills.

You will perform assembly on mechanical parts, follow procedures, and work with process ovens for curing and cleaning. A high school diploma is required, with 3–5 years of manual assembly experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical cert/associate degree is a plus.
• 3–5 years of manual assembly of small components with hand tools.
• Ability to operate optical comparators, height gauges, tack welders, microscopes and similar equipment.
• Basic computer skills for reviewing documents, emailing and online training.
• Strong teamwork and good written/verbal communication.

Job Description

• Follow established procedures in assembly operations.
• Performs tasks associated with use of process ovens for curing and cleaning of parts.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree is a plus.
• At least 3-5 years of experience manually assembling small, intricate components with hand tools.
• Ability to operate (or learn to operate) optical comparators, height gauges, tack welders, microscopes, and other equipment.
• Basic computer skills for reviewing documents, emailing, and online training sessions.
• Strong commitment to teamwork.
• Incumbents may sit in a stationary position for long periods of time.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $22.50 - $35.00.*
