Job summary

Tyson Foods in the United States is seeking a Lead or Supervisor for a production facility to maintain high production, quality, and yield standards while upholding a safe work environment.

The role requires strong understanding of production processes, accurate recordkeeping, and effective line maintenance and staffing. This 1st shift position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to USDA standards, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Lead or supervisory experience in a production facility.
• High school diploma required; additional education preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate production records.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing daily production orders to ensure customer fulfillment
• Ensuring all positions are staffed prior to production start-up
• Overseeing Team Member morning exercises and job rotations to support ergonomics
• Monitoring machinery performance to ensure operational efficiency
• Verifying all workstations have passed USDA inspection
• Promoting workplace safety daily and through monthly safety meetings
• Ensuring accurate shipments, proper inventory rotation, and correct product coding
• Communicating company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members
• Supporting Team Member engagement, training, retention, and counseling
• Collaborating with other supervisors to resolve operational issues
• Maintaining records of reworked or returned products
• Reinforcing continuous quality education and standards
• Performing additional duties as needed
