Job summary

Yanfeng in Alabama is seeking a Production Supervisor to plan and schedule personnel in coordination with the Production Manager, ensuring timely vacations, temp staff, and overtime while upholding safety and quality standards. You will drive daily production adherence, provide feedback, train operators, and report KPI results to leadership.

This role requires strong teamwork, excellent communication, and a willingness to travel to customer sites as needed; join a global automotive supplier

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in production or manufacturing.
• Experience applying HSE and 5S standards.
• Understanding of production planning and KPI tracking.
• Ability to travel to customer sites if needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule personnel with Production Manager (vacation, temporary workers, overtime).
• Provide production expectations and quality feedback in daily start up meetings.
• Monitor daily production requirements to meet customer needs and plant objectives while following HSE and 5S policies.
• Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operator is certified and operator training matrix is updated and meeting departmental targets.
• Compile KPI data and distribute end-of-shift reports to manager and appropriate operations and support personnel.

3-5 Minimum Years Of Experience With Production.

• Ensure job training and daily job rotations are in place and enforced.


• Ensure compliance of the UAW contract, team member handbook, safety guidelines, all rules, programs and procedures that pertain to production team members.


• Monitor quality of product throughout the production process.


• Participates in Team Leader meetings and Quality initiatives.


• Daily review of process and people to identify and implement CI opportunities.


• High School Graduate or Equivalent


• Area of Study: General Studies

1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.

• Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.


• Computer literacy.


• Excellent oral communication skills.


• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
