Job summary

Yanfeng is seeking an Industrial Engineer to own plant layout accuracy and ensure alignment with Floor Space Planning Tool, while coordinating AutoCAD standards across the facility. The role emphasizes lean flow improvements and integrating new business layouts (Phase 2–5) with PFEP-based warehouse planning.

You will support indirect/direct labor planning, use Flow Planner software, and contribute to value stream mapping and continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of engineering experience.
• 3 years in the automotive industry preferred.

Required Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge)

• 2-5 Minimum Years of Experience within Engineering.


• 3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry desired.


• Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.


• AutoCAD experience essential.


• Strong computer skills required (Microsoft Office, Visio, etc).


• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills – ability to work in a matrix organization and effectively lead projects without direct positional authority is required.


• Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork (verbal and documentation) skills – ability to write clear and concise technology documentation is required.


• Flexible work with regional plant visits as required.

Preferred Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge)

• Lean certification desired.


• MODAPTS® certification desired.


• Experience implementing automation solutions to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.


• Experience driving productivity improvements through robotics, AGV’s, automated material handling, warehousing, and machine vision.


• Experience utilizing simulation and digital factory tools for material flow, inventory, staffing, and capacity planning.
