Job summary

Yanfeng seeks a Quality Engineer to update and maintain Control Plans for assigned workflows and serve as the primary contact with customers and suppliers, ensuring ongoing communication and adherence to YF iOS standards.

You will facilitate problem-solving teams, verify corrective actions, participate in audits, and support training on new processes and equipment, contributing to continued quality improvements across programs in North America.

Qualifications

• 1 -3 Years of Experience working in the field of Quality, Engineering CI or similar (recent college graduate is considered acceptable).
• Less Than 1 Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
• Possesses strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment, establishing partnerships both internally and externally.
• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess knowledge on the fundamentals of PPAP and APQP processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in workgroups (e.g., FMEA, PSMC, etc.). Support the risk and failure analysis (PFMEA) reviews
• Performs root cause analysis of technical quality problems, with support of a cross functional team.
• Support quality/dimensional control systems (i.e., X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies).
• Strong working knowledge of APQP tools (e.g., Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working directly with customers and suppliers, particularly automotive related is highly desirable.
• Understanding of the Quality function such as customer service, metrology, and quality analysis techniques (i.e., Design of experiments, Red X, PPAP, Control Plan, etc.).
