Job summary

The Mosaic Company in Colonsay, Saskatchewan, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead safe, compliant day-to-day operations in our plant. You will supervise hourly staff, ensure product quality, safety and environmental standards, and coordinate rail, material flow, and equipment performance.

As a key liaison between operations, maintenance and management, you will drive continuous improvement, conduct audits, review work permits, and coach teams to meet production targets in a unionized

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience in a union environment preferred.
• Industrial/chemical/potash mill experience is a plus.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Effective leadership and positive influence on hourly workforce; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and environmentally sound operating conditions within equipment design parameters.
• Lead, schedule, coach, train, and develop hourly employees.
• Facilitate ongoing communication between hourly employees and management for rail performance, quality, resources, safety and environment.
• Work with operations and maintenance to troubleshoot and address problems to maximize product flow and safety.
• Assist in implementing process improvements or capital projects.
• Conduct audits and inspections; review and authorize work permits.

Includes all facets of production supervision namely hourly employees, product quality, safety, environmental, railroad and raw material management. Assist on the implementation of process improvements or capital projects as needed. Assist with employee training and qualifications. The position is a liaison between management, shift operations and maintenance. Responsible for conducting audits and inspections. Assist in the implementation of process improvements or capital projects* Responsible for conducting audits and inspections* Reviews and authorizes work permits* Other job-related duties as assigned **What do you need for this role?*** High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of relevant experience or 2 year technical program with 2+ years of experience required. Technical or Engineering Bachelor’s degree with at least 1+ years of relevant experience preferred.* Previous step-up, leadership, or supervisory experience in a union environment* Industrial experience, chemical experience, and potash mill experience is a plus.* Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
