Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the safety, quality, training, development, and productivity of personnel on their shift.

Responsibilities

1. Leading the day-to-day operations of the converting and finishing departments.
2. Managing the department for safe and efficient operation.
3. Assessing the performance and training of operating personnel and identifying areas for improvement.
4. Providing training, development, and feedback for personnel.
5. Analyzing department performance data to identify ongoing improvement opportunities.
6. Enforcing safe work practices and leading daily safety discussions.
7. Providing quality direction to personnel.
8. Leading monthly department meetings covering quality, productivity, process improvements, and safety.

Qualifications

1. 3-5 years supervisory experience preferred.
2. Strong technical skills and the ability to develop and influence personnel.
3. Strong leadership skills and the ability to solve process and production issues independently.
4. Experience with lean manufacturing techniques.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with computer knowledge.
6. Ability to work specified shift times, including some weekends.
7. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
8. Experience in the production manufacturing industry is a plus.
