Summary: This is a hands-on supervisory position. The Production Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in manufacturing processes, such as assembling, welding, and applying knowledge of processes involved, production methods, and products.

Summary: This is a hands-on supervisory position. The Production Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in manufacturing processes, such as assembling, welding, and applying knowledge of processes involved, production methods, and products.

Schedule: 9/80 schedule - every other Friday off!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Supervise the daily work activities of an assigned production team
  2. Participate in the hiring process
  3. Reconcile and approve payroll time sheets bi-weekly
  4. Complete performance evaluations for all direct reports as per company policy
  5. Oversee and/or conduct training of new and existing employees
  6. Fabricate and test thermal products and support hardware
  7. Identify materials, both incoming and in-process, as required per material identification and inspection procedures
  8. Complete and maintain manufacturing travelers, as required
  9. Assure product quality and customer satisfaction
  10. Perform in-process and final inspections, as required
  11. Keep work areas clean and organized
  12. Work as part of the team to maximize productivity and efficiency
  13. Monitor quality of incoming raw materials and finished products
  14. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality
  15. Interpret or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
  16. Analyze and resolve work problems or assist production workers in solving work problems
  17. Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
Requirements
  • Associate degree from a 2-year college or technical school; or 2-5 years of related production experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Technical and fabrication skills are highly desirable
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Leadership ability and persuasiveness
  • Comfortable using various computer applications
  • Prior supervision or training experience is very desirable
  • Innovative mindset and teamwork mentality are crucial
  • Authorized to work in the US (US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Individual as per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))
