Operations Supervisor

We are looking for an Operations Supervisor to join the Target Rock team on the night shift.

Location

Responsibilities

• Assign daily manufacturing activities within the department.
• Supervise and direct personnel in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor daily performance of employees against established manufacturing standards, quality standards and timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Inspect the first piece of each manufacturing set-up when feasible and conduct routine inspections to assure accuracy and correct methodology.
• Monitor and double-check all paperwork within the department; ensure accurate and timely entry into travelers and Oracle ERP.
• Report non-conforming hardware to the Plant Manager in a timely manner.
• Provide probationary and performance evaluations for employees within the department.
• Interview applicants for department openings and recommend individuals for hire to the Plant Manager.
• Apply company-employee relationship policies in accordance with company policy and the labor agreement.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the department; notify Facility Maintenance of machine malfunctions or disrepair.
• Conduct new employee orientation concerning daily work and safety rules.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• U.S. citizen.
• Minimum ten (10) years of machine shop experience.
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience at or above first‑class machinist.
• Related coursework in manufacturing and supervision.
• Blue‑print reading and certified inspection capability.
• Experience with manufacturing cutting tools and fixturing pertinent to materials and operations within the company; knowledge of high‑temperature alloys and nickel‑based alloys required.
