Production Supervisor

7am - 7pm (2-2-3 schedule)

Job Summary:

This role provides support to ensure the efficient operation of the manufacturing floor. Responsible for handling confidential and time-sensitive materials, with familiarity in various field concepts, practices, and procedures. Effective communication via phone and email is essential to ensure duties are completed accurately, with high quality and timeliness. The role relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Understand and acknowledge daily responsibilities related to environmental, health, and safety standards. Conduct safety audits and develop action plans. Periodically report to management on EHS responsibilities and conduct training for new employees.
2. Plan and direct daily departmental activities, including managing order flow, ensuring maintenance is completed, recommending staffing adjustments, requisitioning tools and materials, and focusing on productivity improvements.
3. Maintain compliance with product quality standards, participate in scrap meetings, ensure work instructions are available, lead continuous improvement projects, and participate in ISO audits.
4. Conduct regular communication meetings to review quality procedures, non-conformance issues, equipment maintenance, employee performance, and team building. Maintain employee attendance records, counsel employees, conduct performance appraisals, and coordinate training.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum high school education; a 4-year degree is preferred. At least 3 years of manufacturing experience or 2+ years of technical training beyond high school combined with 3-5 years of supervision experience and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
