Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 5 years maintenance experience required.
• Ten (10) years experience in Healthcare maintenance and/or supervisory position in general maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance staff to complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for owned and leased properties.
• Inspects equipment and facilities for proper operation and working conditions.
• Coordinates with the Facilities Compliance Coordinator to meet Joint Commission standards for Environment of Care and Life Safety.
• Orders supplies and materials for maintenance activities.
• Collaborates with Facilities Manager and Compliance Coordinator to train staff on applicable policies and regulations (incl. UAB, Joint Commission, OSHA, EPA, ADEM, and local fire codes).

Job Description

Responsible for supervision of maintenance staff in providing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services for owned, managed and leased properties.

• Supervises maintenance staff in an effort to achieve all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for owned and leased properties. Ensures work is completed in the most cost effective and efficient manner.
• Inspects equipment and facilities for proper operation and working conditions.
• Working with the Facilities Compliance Coordinator, ensures The Joint Commission standards relative to the Environment of Care and Life Safety are fully met.
• Orders supplies and materials for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
• Working with Facilities Manager and Facilities Compliance Coordinator, ensures maintenance staff are trained in all applicable policies and regulations including, but not limited to, UAB, Joint Commission, OSHA, EPA, ADEM, and local fire code. Monitors compliance with these policies and regulations
