UAB Medicine is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to install, inspect, repair, calibrate and maintain high-risk biomedical equipment across clinical and support areas. You will resolve advanced service issues and ensure safe operation through quality control programs.
The role may include leading a team and designing training for competency assessments. Qualified candidates have an Associate's degree in Electronics Technology with eight years of related experience, including four years
Pay range: $27.85 - $45.25 / hour

Under minimal supervision, to install, inventory, inspect, repair, calibrate and maintain biomedical equipment in clinical and support areas with a focus on equipment of high level risk, complexity and/or criticality.
To resolve advanced service issues.
To ensure the safe operation and effective performance of equipment by conducting approved program for quality control and maintenance.
To design and perform training and competency assessments for other technicians. May function as a team leader.
Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or a related field and eight (8) years experience with four (4) years of complex or specialized assignments required. Equivalent military work experience may substitute for education requirement.
