Short Description

• This is a working supervisor position. The supervisor will have a bench assignment when needed, helping to fill schedule gaps and maintain personal competency in areas of expertise.
• The supervisor will oversee technical personnel working evening/night shifts, including assigning and directing work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
• Assist technical managers by ensuring staff compliance with procedures and assisting with staff competency assessments.
• Responsibilities include staff scheduling, payroll, enforcing policies, participating in hiring, reporting inappropriate behaviors, and coaching staff.
• Support departmental achievement through employee engagement and recognition; conduct staff rounding.

Experience and Education

• Five years of clinical laboratory experience preferred; supervisory experience desirable.
• Bachelor's degree and completion of an accredited medical technology program preferred.
• ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologists) Registry preferred.
