Job Title: Laboratory Supervisor

Reports to: Lab Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary

CNY Fertility is a renowned fertility center offering advanced treatments like IVF, IUI, and egg freezing. With a patient-centered approach and cutting-edge technology, we support individuals and couples on their journey to parenthood. Our Laboratory Supervisor will oversee our Andrology and Endocrinology departments. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a team player, technically skilled, and highly motivated.

Required Duties and Responsibilities

1. Understanding of semen analysis and morphology.
2. Processing semen for inseminations and IVF procedures.
3. Knowledge of sperm freezing.
4. Reproductive hormone analysis using an automated analyzer.
5. Conducting urinalysis.
6. Maintaining instruments, including calibration and maintenance.
7. Overseeing day-to-day laboratory operations and staff.
8. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws to maintain laboratory accreditation.

Education/Experience

Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology required. One year in a supervisory or leadership role. Experience in a fertility setting is a plus.

Abilities

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Effective speaking skills before groups of customers or employees.

Math Ability

Ability to perform basic math operations, compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats.

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer literacy.
• Good vision or corrective lenses for sample identification.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment
