The Clinical Population Health Care Management Branch at the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is seeking a dynamic Section Chief who is passionate about improving care management services and driving meaningful change in a start-up like environment. This position plays a key role in monitoring and operations of Enhanced Care Management (ECM), implementation of Fee-for-Service Care Management, and other Population Health Management policies. The Enhanced Care ManagementSection Chief will providing strategic leadership and statewide program oversight to ensure consistent, effective implementation and operations of care management services and other PHM policies. Ideal candidates will possess excellent analytical skills, cross stakeholder coordination, superb project management skills, thrive in a fast-paced setting, and be eager to help DHCS grow and enhance the quality of its population health programs.

This position is currently eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change consistent with DHCS’ Telework Program and Government Code sections 14200 – 14203. Telework is available to California residents, and proof of residency may be required. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated office and residence subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
