The Analyst II supports the Department of Health Care Services’ Quality and Population Health Monitoring (QPHM) program by performing analytical, project management, and operational work within the Data Driven Monitoring (DDM) section. The incumbent helps implement and maintain key initiatives, including the federally mandated Quality Rating System (QRS), through data validation, stakeholder coordination, compliance monitoring, and cross-program collaboration. The role serves as a subject matter generalist in clinical quality measurement (e.g., HEDIS, CMS Core Sets, QRS measures), interprets technical specifications, supports methodological updates, and applies project management tools to oversee multiple concurrent workstreams that strengthen DHCS’ statewide quality oversight. The incumbent works under the general direction of the Medical Consultant II (S), DDM Section Chief.

This position is currently eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change consistent with DHCS’ Telework Program and Government Code sections 14200 – 14203.
