About this Role:
This position is at the working supervisor level and reports to the Section’s Supervisor II. The incumbent is responsible for supervising staff and overseeing the fiscal reporting related to behavioral health programs under the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).
Under the general direction and supervision of the Supervisor II, the Supervisor I plans, directs, and organizes the day-to-day operations of the unit. The unit is responsible for supporting fiscal reporting related to DHCS’ behavioral health programs including 1) data collection and reporting; 2) CARE Act invoicing; 3) develop and refine fiscal reporting; 4) monitor reporting compliance; and 5) quarterly and annual reporting drills. The unit may collaborate with various sections within DHCS to facilitate process improvements. The Supervisor I may represent the Section at DHCS meetings. The incumbent must be able to effectively supervise a team of analytical staff, manage multiple priorities, and should possess strong analytical, leadership, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

This position is currently eligible for telework. Salary: Effective July 1, 2025, the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the temporary Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025).
