Job summary

Workwear Outfitters, based in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Shipping Supervisor for the HiBay department on the 2nd shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM). The role involves supervising associates, training, and ensuring safety and quality in shipping operations to meet daily orders.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least three years of experience in manufacturing or distribution, with strong English communication and MS Office skills. Overtime is required as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years' experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in English.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned associates in the HiBay (Shipping) department on 2nd shift to maximize production, quality, and cost control.
• Provide training, counseling, issue resolution, and attendance tracking; generate production reports.
• Ensure safety standards, quality, and policy compliance while processing orders within shipping requirements.
• Support internal and external customers by meeting service requirements and expectations.
• Cross-train to fill in where needed and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.

REQUIREMENTS :

• Communicate job expectations and coach/counsel direct reports.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three years' experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred.
• Previous supervisor experience preferred.Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Excel, and Word).
• Strong communication skills (oral, written - fluent in English), strong interpersonal skills, and strong basic math skills.
• High attention to detail and quality, and able to flourish in a fast- paced environment.
• Demonstrated flexibility and the ability to work with others in a positive manner.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, work overtime, and/or weekends if needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Responsible for supervising assigned associates in the HiBay (Shipping) department on 2nd shift to achieve maximum production, quality, and cost control.
• Duties include monitoring the flow of production, providing training and counseling, resolving issues, creating production reports, and tracking attendance.
• Responsible for ensuring safety standards, quality of work, and company policies are maintained, all while processing assigned orders within the shipping requirements.
• Support all internal and external customers by meeting all service requirements and expectations.
• Communicate with all levels of personnel and will be trained on several different tasks in the department to fill in where needed.

HOURS :

2nd shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Overtime required as needed.
