Job summary

You will manage guest relations, volunteers, and transport staff, including scheduling, performance reviews, and coaching, while guiding volunteers and ensuring service excellence in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• 3–5 years supervisory experience preferred.
• 5 years of professional experience in a hospital or hospitality service focused position is preferred.
• Experience in leadership preferred. Degree in business, public relations, communications, marketing, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides functional guidance and direction in guest relations, volunteers, and patient transport departments to ensure a positive patient/visitor experience.
• Manages guest relations associates and patient transporters, including scheduling, performance appraisals, and reviews.
• Monitors department workflows, quality and performance, and customer interactions; conducts training and coaching as needed.
• Identifies complex, escalated, or unresolved issues and works with staff to resolve.
• Recruits, trains, and provides daily guidance and supervision to volunteers.

This is an onsite position located in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Description

Responsible for providing functional guidance and direction in the management of the guest relations, volunteers, and patient transport departments to ensure a positive patient/visitor experience. Manages the guest relations associates and patient transporters, including scheduling, performance appraisals and reviews, monitoring department workflows, quality and performance, monitoring calls and customer interactions, training and coaching, providing direction, guidance and oversight in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. Responsible for identifying complex, escalated, or unresolved issues and working with the staff for resolution. Will also manage the volunteer program by recruiting, training and providing daily guidance and supervision to volunteers.
