Job summary

Sesame Place in Philadelphia is seeking Ambassadors to lead, train and coach team members while ensuring guest safety and exceptional service. You will help manage labor, uphold park policies, and support operations projects to keep the park running smoothly.

The role requires leadership experience, CPR/AED certification, strong communication, and flexibility to work varied shifts. A high school diploma is required, with higher education preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year leadership experience
• CPR/AED training/certification
• Able to become trained/certified in all Operations areas
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Able to stand for long periods, lift 25 lb and push/pull 50 lb, and work at heights
• Willing to work varying shifts including days, evenings, and nights
• 2+ years leadership experience preferred
• 3 years guest service experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Driver’s license preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment for team members, guests, and animals
• Provide training, feedback, and coaching to Assistant Supervisors and team members
• Maintain high cleanliness and conduct quality inspections
• Ensure compliance with regulations and park policies
• Assist in labor scheduling to optimize resources
• Manage resources to complete assignments
• Support budgeted revenue and expenses in areas
• Assist Directors and Managers with park operations projects
• Resolve guest/team conflicts within company guidelines
• Ensure adherence to team member handbook policies
• Deliver exceptional guest service
• Perform other tasks as required

Whatyou get to do:

• Ensure a safe environment for all team members, guests, and animals
• Responsible for the development of Assistant Supervisors, OJTs, and team members by providing training, feedback and coaching
• Maintain the highest level of cleanliness in the park, conduct quality inspections of assigned areas, and follow up on any improvement opportunities
• Ensure compliance to all state/federal regulations, park policies, and department procedures
• Assist in the creation and adjustment of labor line schedules to maximize our resources
• Maintain resources as needed to complete work assignments
• Ensure assigned work areas are within projected financial plans, this includes both revenue and expenses as assigned
• Assist the Director and Managers in various projects to improve park operation
• Handle conflicts between guests and/or team members seeking a win-win solution within company guidelines and strategic objectives
• Know and ensure team members follow all policies and procedures outlined in the team member handbook
• Ensure all team members provide exceptional guest service
• Perform other miscellaneous tasks as required

What it takes to succeed:

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years old
• At least 1 year proven leadership experience and a good understanding of labor and expense management.
• Able to successfully complete provided CPR/AED training/certification
• Capable and willing to become trained and certified at all areas within the Operations departments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfortable speaking in front of large groups of guests and team members
• Able to multi-task and adapt to changes in a fast paced working environment
• Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Able to stand for long periods of time; able to lift 25 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds; comfortable working at heights up to 60 feet, around water and able to walk in sand
• Able to assist in ride testing by riding all park rides
• Available to work varying shifts or hours, which may include days, evenings and nights
• 2 or more years leadership experience preferred
• 3 years guest service experience preferred
• Possession or pursuit of a bachelor’s degree preferred
• A valid state driver’s license with the ability obtain a company driver’s license preferred
• Comfortable working at heights 150 feet preferred
