The Gift Shop Supervisor works with the Gift Shop Manager to ensure the success of the Gift Shop. Acts as Floor Leader ensuring that all gift shop guests are greeted and assisted by Sales Assistants and Volunteers. Assesses inventory levels, coordinates re-stocking needs, and assists with creating dynamic displays that are updated frequently. Ensures all areas are cleaned regularly and adhere to safety guidelines. Responsible for training staff and volunteers on policies, procedures, and sales strategies or new product information. Places orders with vendors, assists with receiving shipments, creating POs, and data entry. Handles opening/closing registers, reconciling deposits, and paperwork as needed. This role requires excellent people and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt quickly and solve problems effectively in a fast-paced hospital retail environment. The Gift Shop Supervisor must prioritize service, serving patient families, visitors, staff, and volunteers with enthusiasm and compassion. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position, with some evenings and weekends, and a flexible schedule is required.
