Job summary

MTM Transit is seeking a Supervisor, Fleet in Sebring, FL. You will oversee fleet operations to meet company standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring safe, on-time performance and accurate maintenance tracking for all vehicles.

You will supervise drivers, coordinate maintenance with Cetaris, respond to incidents, and provide management with performance reports. A valid license and DOT screening are required, with preferred experience in senior or disabled passenger services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role (2+ years preferred).
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
• No suspensions, DUI, or more than 1 citation in the past 5 years.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Previous experience with seniors or persons with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor comments and complaints regarding service and passenger safety.
• Ensure daily routes are staffed with drivers and monitor on-time performance.
• Oversee fleet maintenance program and preventive maintenance data.
• Coordinate data and photo collection at accident scenes and assist with investigations.
• Assist drivers with questions and on-the-road support.
• Provide management with reports on route/schedule effectiveness.
• Perform random vehicle inspections and track mileage in Cetaris.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance files on site for client review.

What Will Your Job Look Like?

The Supervisor, Fleet is responsible for ensuring all fleet operations meet company standards and are in compliance with all governmental or regulatory standards. Ensure efficient mechanical operation, appearance of each vehicle is maintained and track the fleet vehicle life cycle to ensure proper management of inventory. The Supervisor, Fleet will perform duties in a timely manner and advise Leadership of any potential issues that could affect the overall accountability of the fleet.

Pay Rate: $16 - $20 Hourly

What you'll do:

• Monitor comments and complaints of passengers regarding service, especially feedback regarding the safety of passengers
• Ensure all daily routes are supplied with drivers and oversee on time performance measures of drivers, monitor driving and safety practices of drivers daily
• Provide oversight of fleet maintenance program
• Respond and coordinate data and photo collection at accident and incident scenes
• Investigate and assist with accident determination
• Assist drivers with questions, customer assistance and overall on the road support
• Provide management with reports to assist with the evaluation of route and schedule effectiveness to meet the needs of the customer and client
• Perform a minimum of two random vehicle inspections on all vehicles owned by the client
• Collect all daily mileage from the contractors and enter into Cetaris for Preventative Maintenance tracking
• Work with contractors to ensure all Preventative Maintenance is on time and kept up to standards
• Enter all Preventative Maintenance data into Cetaris to keep system up to date
• Assist contractors with maintenance issues and vendor issues as necessary
• Provide management with Preventative Maintenance on time performance reports
• Maintain vehicle Preventative Maintenance files on site at main office for review by the client
• Perform additional duties as assigned or required

What you'll need:

Experience, Education & Certifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• 1+ years of previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role (2+ years preferred)
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening

• Must pass criminal background check
• Previous experience working with senior citizens or persons with disabilities

Skills:

• Strong problem solving skills
• Knowledge of safety and training practices and procedures
• Ability to communicate, teach and mentor employees
• Must be able to demonstrate conflict resolution skills
• Quick to process information and make adjustments or recommendations
• Skills in the use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and other Microsoft applications
• Knowledge of basic safety and training procedures
• Map reading, two-way radio communication and driving experience preferably in a demand responsive service environment
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
• Regular attendance is required

• Thorough knowledge of accident investigation preferred
• Thorough knowledge of ADA, DOT, FTA regulations preferred
• Previous management experience in fleet administration preferred
