Job summary

MTM Transit in Tracy, CA is hiring a Road Supervisor to ensure fleet operations meet company standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining safety and on-time performance.

You will lead drivers, oversee maintenance, assist with accident investigations, and produce route reports. Starting pay is $30.00 - $32.00/hr with benefits and growth opportunities in an equal opportunity environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
• No more than 6 points on driving record in last 4 years.
• Must pass criminal background check.

What will your job look like?

The Road Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all fleet operations meet company standards and are in compliance with all governmental or regulatory standards. Ensure efficient mechanical operation and appearance of each vehicle is maintained. Monitor all accident and injury investigations. Monitor comments and complaints of passengers and operators regarding service, especially feedback regarding the safety of passengers. Ensure all daily routes are supplied with drivers. Develop utilization reports to establish cost effective routes and schedules to meet the needs of the customer and client.

Starting Pay : $30.00 - $32.00/hr

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee on time performance measures of drivers, monitor driving and safety practices of drivers daily
• Provide oversight of fleet maintenance program
• Respond and coordinate data and photo collection at accident and incident scenes
• Investigate and assist with accident determination
• Assist drivers with questions, customer assistance and overall on the road support
• Assist customers with information and complaint resolution
• Provide management with reports to assist with the evaluation of route and schedule effectiveness
• Perform additional duties as assigned or required

What You’ll Need:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a related field preferred
• Must possess a valid CDL with Airbrakes and Passenger Endorsement
• Experience working in a supervisory role preferred
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
• No more than 6 points on driving record within the last 4 years
• Must pass criminal background check
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
• Regular attendance is required

• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, Drug & Alcohol and FTA safety regulations preferred
• Thorough knowledge of accident investigation preferred
• Knowledge of Safety and training practices and procedures
• Ability to communicate, teach and mentor employeesMust be able to demonstrate conflict resolution skills
• Quick to process information and make adjustments or recommendations
• Skills in the use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and other Microsoft applications
