Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a Full-time Supervisor, Environmental Services. The role supports the manager in planning, organizing and supervising department functions to maintain a clean and safe environment. Hours are 7 a.m.

to 3:30 p.m. on the Day Shift. The position requires at least a high school diploma, 1 year of supervisory experience (2 years preferred), and CHEST certification for existing staff by 7/31/2019; new hires must obtain CHEST within 2 years.

Overview:

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is hiring a Full-time Supervisor, Environmental Services.
Hours/Shift: Full-time Day Shift from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Environmental Services Team Coordinator assists the manager in planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating and controlling the activities of the department functions which are necessary to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Participate in the work activities of assigned teams through providing assistance, serving as technical resource and participating in the work as a member of the team. Contributes to the success of the department through effective work coordination, management of resources, and participation in goal accomplishment. Support and communicates Sentara mission, values, goals, and directions to assigned team members.

Some College is preferred. 2+ years supervisory experience preferred. CHEST certification required for all existing staff by 7/31/2019. New employees hired after 8/1/2016 required to have CHEST within 2 years of hire.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $25.22 - $37.72 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
