Job description

**Job Description**

Responsible for supervising, training, and managing the food service operation. Ensure that appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served.

**Job Responsibilities**

  1. Develops and maintains a safety culture that ensures a work environment where no one gets hurt. Supervises catering operations, including staff coordination, rental equipment, setup, preparation, service, and breakdown of catered foods, beverages, and events of varying size and complexity.
  2. Books events, selects and costs menu items, and sets pricing as needed.
  3. Coordinates activities with other internal departments. Participates in management team meetings. Interfaces with vendors and key service users within the client organization.
  4. Represents Aramark and the client at meetings and events, facilitating external customer relations.
  5. Ensures sanitation, organization, and safety standards are met through checklists, supervision, and follow-up.
  6. Participates in catering training programs; assists in developing and implementing training for hourly, part-time, and student employees.
  7. Assists in implementing and adhering to all Aramark Catering initiatives and guidelines.
  8. Prior experience with event booking is preferred.

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
  • Must complete a sanitation course before or during the first year as a lead.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
  • Maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Resolve interpersonal situations effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Minimum Education/Certification: High School Diploma/GED.

This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
