Job Description

Responsible for supervising, training, and managing the food service operation. Ensure that appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and foster a safety culture that creates a work environment where no one gets hurt. Supervise catering operations, including staff coordination, rental equipment management, setup, preparation, service, and breakdown of catered foods, beverages, and events of varying size and complexity.
  2. Book events, select and cost menu items, and determine pricing as needed.
  3. Coordinate activities with other internal departments. Participate in management team meetings. Interface with vendors and key service users within the client organization.
  4. Represent Aramark and the client at meetings and events to facilitate external customer relations.
  5. Ensure sanitation, organization, and safety standards are maintained through checklists, supervision, and follow-up.
  6. Participate in all catering training programs and assist in developing and implementing training for hourly, part-time, and student employees.
  7. Assist in implementing and adhering to all Aramark Catering initiatives and guidelines.
  8. Prior experience with event booking is preferred.
  9. At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done positively impacts our employees and customers. Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without notice to meet commitments.

    Qualifications

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
  • Maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Minimum Education/Certification: High School Diploma/GED.

This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing. Uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
