Job summary

Bally's Interactive in Town of Dover, NY is seeking an experienced Beverage Supervisor to lead daily beverage operations on the casino floor and bars, manage staffing, inventory, and events, and ensure guest satisfaction.

The role emphasizes training, safety, compliance with alcohol policies, payroll oversight, and collaboration with the Beverage Manager to monitor budgets. Weekend, holiday, and night shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
• 2 years high-volume beverage operation experience preferred.
• ABC certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings with cocktail servers and bartenders.
• Maintain staffing levels for casino floor and bars.
• Manage bar par levels, liquor requisitions, inventory, and events.
• Assist Beverage Manager with payroll, sales, liquor, and supplies budgets.
• Provide training for new hires and quarterly training.
• Prepare daily server evaluations for speed and policy adherence.
• Ensure proper bar displays with sponsor/partner products.
• Ensure hygiene, health, safety, and security procedures are followed.
• Communicate safe serving practices and manage over-serving.
• Card anyone under 30 for cigarettes and liquor.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures on shift.
• Update cost transfers and liquor spill sheets weekly.
• Complete payroll on assigned shift.
• Monitor security procedures of alcohol in F&B outlets.
• HOLD staff accountable for performance.
• Motivate staff; provide guidance.
• Interview, hire, and retain employees.
• Coach, and counsel subordinate employees.
• Oversee timely employee evaluations.
• Conduct training with subordinates.
• Issues discipline and termination as appropriate.
• Complete timely evaluations.
• Reward and recognize superior performers.
• Ensure safety rules are followed.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Conducts daily pre-shift meetings with cocktail servers and bartenders, setting daily expectations to include events, safety concerns, and department goals.
• Maintains appropriate staffing levels for casino floor & bars.
• Maintains all bar par levels, submits liquor requisitions, stocks inventory, and assists with special events and banquets.
• Assists Beverage Manager with monitoring established budget for payroll, sales, liquor, and supplies.
• Ensures proper training for all new hires and conducts quarterly training for all department employees.
• Prepares daily server evaluations on cocktail servers and bartenders to ensure speed of service and adherence to alcohol policies.
• Ensures proper bar displays with current sponsor and/or partner products.
• Ensures that workplace hygiene, occupational health, safety, and security procedures are followed daily.
• Ensures “safe serving of alcohol” practices are communicated with the cocktail servers and bartenders, to include over-serving and terminating service to guests if necessary.
• Ensures staff is carding anyone under the age of 30 for cigarettes and liquor.
• Responsible for Beverage Department compliance with all company procedures and policies on assigned shift and attending all company classes and meetings.
• Updates cost transfers and liquor spill sheets weekly.
• Completes payroll on assigned shift.
• Monitors proper security procedures of all alcohol in F&B outlets.
• Holds subordinates accountable for established performance expectations.
• Motivates staff; provides advice and guidance as appropriate.

Competencies:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• 2 years high volume beverage operation experience preferred
• Must be ABC certified at time of hire.
• Must possess good math skills
• Must possess computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software
• Must possess good oral and written communication skills
• Must possess good customer service and leadership skills
• Must be able to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations
• Must present an overall professional appearance
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.

Work Environment:

• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights as scheduled
