Job summary

Kindred Hospital Albuquerque is seeking a friendly, team-oriented culinary staff member to help manage patient meals and ensure accuracy and timely delivery in a hospital setting.

You will work with the dietary team, supervise kitchen staff, and maintain high standards of service for patients, staff and visitors. The role supports day, evening, and night shifts with competitive hourly wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Preferred: 6+ months of supervisor experience in culinary or healthcare settings.

• Support the culinary director to lead the food and nutrition team in a hospital.

Job Description

We're looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our culinary team!

Responsibilities

• Support the culinary director to lead the food and nutrition team at a hospital. Ensure patient meals are accurate and are delivered in a timely fashion. Provide excellent customer service to ensure every patient is satisfied with their meal.
• Supervisor team members to ensure smooth operations of the criteria, doctor's dining, catering, and/or patient meals
• Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements
• Provide excellent customer service for all patients, staff, and visitors
• Adhere to the facility's health and safety policies and procedures
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Preferred: 6+ months of supervisor experience ( cook, line cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, culinary operations, restaurants, supervisor, dietary department, foodservice, hourly manager, healthcare )

Physical Requirements

Prolonged standing and walking continuously, frequent stooping, and bending and lifting up to 50 pounds. Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job.
