Kimmel & Associates is seeking an experienced Superintendent for hotel construction projects in the Raleigh, NC market. You will provide field leadership, coordinate trades, and ensure safety, schedule, and quality on site.

The role requires 5+ years in hotel/construction leadership, with ground-up experience preferred, and Procore familiarity is a plus. This is a full-time on-site position with a strong project pipeline and long-term growth potential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a superintendent for a commercial GC.
• Hotel/hospitality construction experience strongly preferred.
• Ground-up construction experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Strong scheduling, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with construction management software; Procore is a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

About the Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Superintendent to provide field leadership on hotel construction projects in the Raleigh, NC market.

The Superintendent will oversee day-to-day jobsite operations, coordinate subcontractors and vendors, manage project sequencing and schedules, and ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.

This position is ideal for a hands-on construction leader who understands the complexities of hospitality construction and can effectively manage multiple trades while maintaining schedule, quality, and safety expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct daily field operations for hotel construction projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and other project stakeholders.
• Manage project sequencing and monitor progress against the construction schedule.
• Identify potential delays, conflicts, and scheduling issues and develop solutions.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and other project documentation.
• Maintain high standards for workmanship and quality control.
• Establish and maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite.
• Lead and participate in regular jobsite and safety meetings.
• Coordinate inspections and ensure project requirements are met.
• Identify constructability concerns and work with the project team to resolve issues.
• Maintain consistent communication with the Project Manager, owner, architect, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Track project progress and maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
• Lead punch-list activities, project closeout, and turnover.
• Help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in accordance with client expectations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent for a commercial general contractor.
• Hotel or hospitality construction experience strongly preferred.
• Ground-up construction experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage multiple subcontractors and trades.
• Strong scheduling, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and field leadership abilities.
• Experience with construction management software; Procore experience is a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Ability to effectively lead operations in an active construction environment.
