Jobot in Austin, TX is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on high-profile TI/interiors projects, with potential manufacturing/industrial work. You will own safety, coordinate with subcontractors, and manage the project schedule from the field side.

Ideal candidates have extensive superintendent experience with commercial GC projects, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited direction.

Qualifications

• Several years of relevant experience as a Superintendent for a commercial GC.
• Experience with high-profile interior TI/interiors; manufacturing or industrial a plus.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
• Strong verbal and written communication with owners, architects, landlords, and trades.
• Ability to read drawings and build schedules; proficient email communication.

Responsibilities

• Work on-site with the project management team as the field lead.
• Own jobsite safety and enforce safety standards with crews and subcontractors.
• Manage day-to-day field operations and subcontractor coordination on TI/interiors and possibly manufacturing/industrial work.
• Build and maintain the construction schedule.
• Attend weekly Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings.
• Lead and attend site / foreman meetings.
• Coordinate closely with the client, architect, and landlord (and plant/ops on industrial work).
• Read drawings, drive quality in the field, and keep documentation current.
• Operate independently in a fast-paced environment with limited direction from senior leadership.

• Lead and attend site / foreman meetings
• Coordinate closely with the client, architect, and landlord (and plant/ops stakeholders on industrial work)
• Read drawings, drive quality in the field, and keep documentation current
• Operate independently in a fast-paced environment with limited direction from senior leadership

Qualifications:

• Several years of relevant experience as a Superintendent for a commercial general contractor
• Experience with high-profile interior tenant improvements and/or commercial interiors; ground-up, manufacturing, or industrial experience is a plus
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with owners, architects, landlords, and trades
• Ability to email professionally, build schedules, and read construction drawings
• Comfort with field technology platforms (PlanGrid or similar)
• OSHA 30 desired (employer will assist with certification if hired)
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
