Insight Global is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead large-scale data center programs, coordinating across project management, controls, scheduling, procurement, commissioning, and leadership to ensure milestones are planned, sequenced, and delivered.

The role emphasizes execution guidance, schedule validation, risk identification, and mentorship of scheduling teams, with a focus on office-based program coordination, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction leadership experience on data center / mission-critical projects.
• Experience coordinating projects valued at $200M+ with milestones, sequencing, and delivery.
• Deep understanding of data center sequencing: electrical infrastructure, generators, UPS, switchgear, cooling, controls, commissioning, turnover.
• Ability to review schedules for critical path, sequencing conflicts, missing dependencies, milestone risks.
• Experience coordinating long-lead procurement: generators, switchgear, transformers, UPS, chillers, busway.
• Strong commissioning and turnover planning experience with IST and client handover milestones.
• Leadership across PM, Schedulers, Project Controls, Procurement, Vendors, Commissioning, and Exec Leadership.
• Mentoring schedulers and project controls; hyperscale data center experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale tech infra programs (Meta, Microsoft, Google, AWS, etc).
• Programs valued at $250M-$1B+.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to support large-scale data center programs through project coordination, execution planning, schedule alignment, and stakeholder leadership.

This individual will serve as a key partner to Project Management, Project Controls, Scheduling, Procurement, Commissioning, and Leadership teams to help ensure complex program milestones are planned, sequenced, tracked, and delivered effectively.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience supporting large-scale data center, mission-critical, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or complex infrastructure programs and possesses a strong understanding of project sequencing, procurement dependencies, critical path activities, commissioning requirements, and turnover readiness.

This role is not responsible for developing or maintaining schedules in Primavera P6. Instead, the Senior Superintendent will provide execution expertise, sequencing guidance, schedule validation, risk identification, and mentorship to scheduling and project controls teams.

This is an office-based position focused on program coordination, planning, reporting, schedule advisement, stakeholder engagement, and delivery support.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership

Serve as a senior coordination lead across multiple project workstreams.

Review critical path and near-critical path activities to ensure alignment with program delivery requirements.

Identify missing dependencies, unrealistic durations, sequencing concerns, and milestone risks.

Support development of schedule recovery strategies and acceleration plans.

Partner with project controls teams to evaluate milestone confidence and schedule performance.

Mentor schedulers on data center sequencing, turnover planning, procurement integration, and commissioning requirements.

Advise leadership on schedule-related risks and opportunities.

Data Center Critical Path Oversight

Support planning and sequencing efforts associated with major data center program milestones including:

• Utility coordination
• Electrical infrastructure deployment
• Generator implementation
• UPS deployment
• Switchgear energization
• Cooling infrastructure implementation
• Controls integration
• Network and technology infrastructure readiness
• Startup and commissioning activities
• Integrated systems testing

Review schedule impacts associated with critical infrastructure dependencies.

Identify risks related to long-lead equipment, utility readiness, commissioning constraints, and program milestones.

Collaborate with schedulers to ensure critical path activities accurately reflect program requirements.

Procurement & Long-Lead Equipment Coordination

Partner with procurement teams and scheduling teams to ensure long-lead equipment milestones are incorporated into overall program plans.

Review procurement schedules, manufacturing milestones, approval timelines, logistics activities, and equipment readiness milestones.

Support planning related to:

• Generators
• Switchgear
• UPS systems
• Transformers
• Busway
• Chillers
• Cooling infrastructure equipment
• Medium-voltage equipment
• Controls systems

Identify procurement risks that may impact milestone achievement, commissioning readiness, or turnover objectives.

Support mitigation and contingency planning efforts.

Commissioning & Turnover Planning

Support coordination of startup, testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and turnover activities.

Review schedule alignment between procurement, equipment readiness, commissioning activities, and turnover milestones.

Identify commissioning bottlenecks and operational readiness risks.

Partner with project controls, commissioning teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support milestone achievement.

Assist with turnover planning, documentation readiness, and operational acceptance activities.

Risk Management & Executive Reporting

Participate in schedule risk reviews and milestone planning sessions.

Assist leadership teams in evaluating schedule impacts, milestone risks, and recovery opportunities.

Support preparation of schedule narratives, milestone reports, and executive briefings.

Clearly communicate execution risks, schedule challenges, procurement concerns, and commissioning impacts.

Provide recommendations to support informed program-level decisions.

Team Support & Mentorship

Mentor schedulers on data center delivery sequencing and critical path development.

Help bridge the gap between schedule development and actual program execution requirements.

Provide feedback on schedule updates, milestone forecasts, and recovery strategies.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across scheduling, controls, and program management functions.

Share lessons learned and best practices from prior large-scale data center programs.

Skills and Requirements

10+ years of construction leadership experience, including direct involvement in large-scale data center, mission-critical, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or similarly complex infrastructure projects.

Proven experience supporting projects valued at $200M+, with responsibility for coordinating major program milestones, execution planning, sequencing, and delivery activities.

Deep understanding of data center construction sequencing, including electrical infrastructure, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, cooling systems, controls integration, commissioning, and turnover readiness.

Ability to review and validate project schedules by identifying critical path activities, sequencing conflicts, missing dependencies, milestone risks, and schedule recovery opportunities. (Need not be the Primavera P6 scheduler, but must know how to challenge and validate schedules.)

Experience coordinating long-lead procurement activities, including generators, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, chillers, busway, and other mission-critical equipment, and understanding their impact on project delivery.

Strong commissioning and turnover planning experience, including startup activities, integrated systems testing (IST), commissioning sequencing, operational readiness, and client handover milestones.

Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, partnering with Project Managers, Schedulers, Project Controls, Procurement, Design, Vendors, Commissioning teams, and Executive Leadership.

Experience mentoring schedulers, project engineers, and project controls personnel, providing execution expertise and helping translate real-world construction activities into executable schedules and recovery plans. Hyperscale data center experience.

Experience supporting Meta, Microsoft, Google, AWS, Oracle, Apple, or other large-scale technology infrastructure programs.

Experience supporting programs valued at $250M-$1B+.

Experience mentoring schedulers, project engineers, project controls professionals, or coordinators.

Familiarity with integrated systems testing (IST) and mission-critical turnover processes.

Experience with schedule risk analysis, recovery planning, and milestone forecasting.
