Path Construction is seeking a qualified Superintendent to join our organization in the Chicago, IL area. This person will have ground-up mid-rise multi-family experience. We are a rapidly growing commercial general contractor with offices in Arlington Heights, IL; Scottsdale, AZ; Dallas, TX; Charlotte, NC; Knoxville, TN; and Tampa, FL, with projects throughout the United States.

The right candidate will have 5+ years of construction management experience in various asset classes, including multi-family.

Duties for Superintendents include:

1. Leading and managing subcontractors.
2. Overseeing all phases of construction projects from planning to completion, whether public works or private commercial projects across various industries.
3. Administering safety programs and ensuring site safety.
4. Representing customer service and administering quality control programs.

We seek Superintendents who are experts in general construction techniques, problem-solving, and the technical aspects of each construction facet (e.g., concrete, masonry, metals, plastics, moisture proofing, openings, finishes, specialties, equipment, furnishings, conveying systems, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, communication, security, earthwork, exterior improvements, utilities, demolition, etc.).

Requirements:

1. 5+ years of building and construction management experience.
2. Ground-up mid-rise multi-family experience.
3. OSHA Site Safety certification and experience.
4. Up-to-date with modern technology and excellent communication skills.
5. Proven technical knowledge of construction with understanding of various facets (as listed above).
6. General knowledge of construction principles and practices.
7. Strong work ethic, team-oriented attitude, and desire to grow with the company.
8. Valid driver’s license; ability to travel as required.
9. 9+ years of building and construction management experience.
10. Associates/Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience in commercial projects, hospitals, public projects, schools, multifamily, etc.
11. Estimating experience is a plus.
12. Working knowledge of project management software (Microsoft Office, SAGE 300 CRE).
13. OSHA 30-Hour Training certification.
14. LEED project experience.
15. Proven experience in multi-story construction.
